This is a collection of brand moments from EXPO West 2012 – things that caught my attention and connected with me.
Creatives – whether in large firms or sole proprietors – toiled passionately to generate identities, color palettes, packaging and trade show experiences for the companies that exhibited in Anaheim this year. Tremendous effort and skill were on display from a design perspective. Sixty thousand people attended, and thousands of companies had a presence. Crowded is a word that comes to mind.
Several large companies displayed real passion for design and experience, like Mrs. Myers and Clif Bar. But the real heroes of EXPO are the owners of small companies that understand how to generate brands that have the ability to connect and compete. Brands like Thunderbird Energetica and Alter Eco project style and smarts – and they taste fantastic.
It’s a great time to be in the natural food business. Dig in.
